Now that Beatles historian and blogger Steve Bradley has added a radio show and podcast to his busy schedule, it feels like he's working eight days a week!
Fortunately he is in safe hands with help from experienced radio presenter Phil, his friend of over thirty years - we hope you will enjoy the show!
Phil Salter started presenting on radio in Manchester in 1977. His interview guests have included Mark Lewisohn, Tony Barrow, and Manchester United manager Sir Matt Busby. Now a Radio Station Manager Phil broadcasts every day, his shows include The Beatles Hour.
Growing up in the 60s his Mum took him to buy Beatles records on the day of release! Even then he was spotting the differences between mono and stereo, and different versions of songs – something that fascinates him to this day.
He loves telling people he’s "met four of the Beatles but not John" * - the highlight being witness to a moment of George Harrison’s genius sense of humour. Phil continues to collect records and music trivia on a scale that would shame most dedicated fans. He is married and lives in Manchester.
*Paul, George, Ringo and Pete!
